Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between GAW and PVC or PWDC? :
GAW (Galvanized wire) is the standard uncoated silver wire.
PVC Coated Wire is manufactured by extruding polyvinyl chloride over galvanized wire.
Our PVC is a black plastic coating for the cage wire.
PVC is very easy to clean and stays new-looking for a long time. Some cages do not have the PVC option, because some animals will chew off the coating.
PWDC (Powder-coated wire) is galvanized wire with a black enamel type finish baked onto it.
What gauge wire is used to make these cages? :
Most GAW (Galvanized wire) cages are 14 gauge wire, and the PVC cages are usually 16 gauge.
